  • FOUNDING PRINCIPAL

    Dave Baiocchi, founder of Imaginative Futures, leverages his expertise in the social and physical sciences to unearth hidden opportunities, empowering clients to make innovative decisions. Renowned for his knack of transforming complex ideas into clear visuals, he helps leaders articulate and design their future vision. Dave established Imaginative Futures with a mission to be an invaluable ally, guiding leaders to successfully navigate the future. Read more: Dave’s story.

  • SENIOR ADVISOR

    Meg is a social scientist who aims to understand complex public health and social issues and the perspectives of the people facing them. Once she fully understands a problem, she creatively communicates the challenges facing our world and communities and the solutions to solve them.

    Meg began her career as a policy advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response at the US Department of Health and Human Services during the Obama administration. She broadened her expertise in public health and social services at the RAND corporation, where she earned her PhD in Policy Analysis.

  • DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

    Jess has spent her career working across different industries ranging from media to mission-driven consumer packaged goods. Her roles have included marketing, impact, and supply chain and she brings this breadth of experience to Imaginative Futures. You can find her managing all things business operations.

    Jess attended Michigan State University and currently resides at her farm in northern Michigan where she focuses on permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles.

  • SENIOR CONSULTANT

    Joyce loves helping solve large-scale problems at the science–policy interface. She enjoys engaging with clients who are working to solve big issues as a researcher and project manager, and also enjoys collaborating with the team’s artists and illustrators to make visual ideas become a reality.

    Joyce earned her PhD in Earth science from USC, where she developed a deep knowledge of how the planet functions. She brings her experience studying climate change and her broad science background in marine science, biology, and geology to IF, where her favorite problems to work on relate to climate change and biodiversity.

  • ILLUSTRATOR

    Young is an illustrator and growing visual designer currently adventuring in Japan. Young works with many clients and fields, which has helped grow her style and expertise creating illustrations for stories and storytelling. She aims to make art that makes people happy, which she brings to many of IF's projects as an illustrator.

    Young is originally from California and graduated from the Art Center College of Design in 2014 where she studied illustration and graphic design. One day, Young hopes to create stories using her own animal characters.

  • ILLUSTRATOR

    Galen is an illustrator and designer enthusiastic to apply her expertise to any project. At IF, Galen assists the team in design and illustration tasks for infographics, slide decks and anything that needs a keen artistic eye. She has gained valuable experience freelancing with various organizations and is passionate about the natural world which is the main inspiration in her personal work.

    Galen earned her BFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Communication Arts, Illustration.

  • ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

    Emmalee’s passion for helping others was ignited when she started volunteering for a rural ambulance service. She quickly fell in love with prehospital medicine and propelled her career into emergency medical services by becoming a Paramedic. She has worked closely with many community and public leaders as well as independently to tackle grant initiatives, utilizing her research skills and critical thinking for the common good of the community.

    With over 5 years of clinical experience she enjoys applying her medical expertise to formulate creative solutions that can be implemented on an organizational level. Although new to consulting, her ferocious curiosity and ability to bring organization to chaos make her a great addition to the team.

  • GRAPHIC DESIGNER

    Katya is a graphic designer and a digital artist based in Los Angeles, CA. She enjoys solving visual and conceptual puzzles in the world of design. As part of the IF team her main focus is to establish visually balanced and engaging storytelling for a variety of projects including packaging, slide decks, infographics, illustrations, and more.

    Katya studied Graphic Design at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. She also holds a BS in Economics. One day she hopes to have a clowder of cute cats and to design book covers for her favorite stories.
